ModTod began as a concept in early 2009. Julie Magee and Diana Robbins were talking about how clothing options for their kids out in the malls and how all the t-shirts had these loud, obnoxious designs on them. They couldn’t understand why there weren’t simple t-shirts out there that represented the simplicity of childhood, that were cute, soft and simple like kids are suppose to be at this young age. Both being designers, Julie and Diana decided they wanted to design their own shirts and offer this look to the children’s clothing market. So, in the summer of 2009 ModTod, LLC began and launched their Fall/Winter Collection online and in Louisville, KY and are expanding into other metropolitan cities.
